Meet the Author

Lisa started out as an actor in radio and television, as well as stage. She has performed at the National Theatre, in the West End and in theatre in the USA. She was Resident Writer at the Theatre Centre and at Temba Theatre Company. She was Associate Writer for Theatre by the Lake, Keswick and recently completed a six-week attachment with the National Theatre Studio. Her play THE DAY THE WATERS CAME, which has been performed nationwide, won the Writers Guild Best Play for Young Audiences Award 2011, and was revived by the Theatre Centre in autumn 2012, opening at the Redbridge Drama Centre then touring schools around the country.
