This book has several trips for local tourism that can each be done in one day. Since it's a book it's a good idea to double check an itinerary on the internet before going to places with opening hours, which includes some of the national parks or other managed recreation areas. My family has taken several of the suggested day trips in and around Los Angeles and they were always fun and the book has helped us to look out for things that wouldn't be necessarily found just by looking a place up on the internet alone. I highly recommend this book for the user who wants to find things to do in Los Angeles and Southern California between San Diego and Santa Barbara. The trips are truly planned to be able to be completed in one day, although some places certainly deserve a longer visit if you desire that.
