The final confrontation in most western novels fails to do justice to the preceding drama. Not so in Thomas Hart's novel. The finale is an extraordinary scene of one man's determination to defeat overwhelming odds, to bring justice to a lawless land. Can he do it?

I REALLY LOVED this book. I started to read it one evening and was interested right from the beginning. I planned to read a few chapters and then go to bed. When I got that far, I figured I would read the next chapter. Well, at 4am I finished the book and went to bed! It was far better than a lot of books I have read (not to mention the ones I never finished) and I am not a big fan of westerns. This wasn't the typical western, as I think of it, though, and was more a story about the characters.

Days of Vengeance is a novel in which characters, plot and scenes linger in the mind long after the book has been read and put on the bookshelf. A talented, creative writer, Thomas Hart tells an enthralling story of love, murder, revenge and redemption. On one level, it's about Johnny Luther's journey to avenge the murder of his wife and baby; on another level, it's a search to fulfill his destiny. The vivid scenes of Johnny's return to the desert and the ways of his ancient Apache ancestors, le

GREAT book! Kept me intrigued every flip of the page. Only book I have finished this year, couldn't wait to get to the end. Not a book to use to go to sleep on because you will be in such suspense to see what happens next. Just the right amount of detail to place yourself into the story. Its a western with a tad bit of fantasy that work together great. Would make an awesome short film. Will definitely recommend to friends and family to give it a read.

DAYS OF VENGEANCE is a western mixed with a tinge of the supernatural. It is a compelling story that pulls you in, with characters who make you want to follow them to the end of the book. Thomas Hart's style is creative and lyrical, with an excellent use of metaphor, even during the more violent scenes which drive the protagonist toward his revenge.

Great story, clear character development, good pace, good use of mysticism and spirituality. This is a movie ready to happen with a Clint Eastwood type as Johnny. Hart's descriptions of scenery and horses put him in the ranks of Zane Grey and Louis Lamour. I hope he writes another western novel.
