The one star isn't because I couldn't open it on my machine; it

The one star isn't because I couldn't open it on my machine; it was because I did. Wow. If this is an example of what the "New 52" offers, I'm not there. The Justice League International story was probably the worst - a complete and very obvious rewrite of the Avengers. Justice League was incoherent, and untrue to the characters. The less said about the wretchedly drawn Batman the better. Animal Man was the only one that I found interesting enough to possibly check out in the future. I debated a long time whether the Catwoman or the JLI was worst, but finally I had to give it to the JLI story due to its derivative soullessness. The Catwoman story was again poorly drawn, with almost Liefeld-laughable unrealistic physiques, and the story was just fanservice porn whose sole point was to have Batman and Catwoman have sex. Overall, if this is what DC is offering people these days, um...I'll pass, thanks.

It is a good way to be introduced to some of the New 52, granted

It is a good way to be introduced to some of the New 52, granted it is just the first issue of the selected works. One can not read this as a entry point into how the actual series plays out in but as a sample of what books where avaiable the first wave of trade paperbacks released. I counter the 1 star reviews about not working on Apple devices because it clearly has been stated that Barnes & Noble comics will not work on Apple devices for awhile now. The other 1 star review is not understanding that Justice League is actually a multiple part story that plays out in the first 7 issues, one has to take this as just part 1 of the interconnecting story. Justice League International is NOT a rehashing of the Avengers, in fact todays Averagers act more like JLI that was a fan favorite title in the 1990s and historically Justice League was years before Marvel's first Avengers issue. Animal Man is one of the best non-traditional reads of the New 52. If you don't get the sampler at the $1.99 offer it is better to pickup the full trade of the New 52 title you are interested in. I do conclude that JLI is the weaker of the sampled titles due more to the story being a higher mix of humor while the main Justice League series being more serious.

Will not work on IPad. I have had multiple nooks from the class

Will not work on IPad. I have had multiple nooks from the classic to the recently a nook tablet for my wife. I have been a true barnes and noble customer and turned a large number of customers to the store singing their praises about how much superior they were over the other e-book dealers. However, I just spent money on this new 52 which looked intreging and I can open it on my IPad nook app. I think that may have been something you wanted to put out there for your IPad customers. Disappointed.

    Misleading and Useless

I bought this the day it came out. The site said the file was viewble with the nook app, so I got it and tried to open it on my tablet. Fail. I ended up talking to a help/support person about the misleading wording and he said that they were going to change it. They finally did, but I am stuck with an e-comic that I can't even open. AND I have to wait until they "make it available" for the nook app. I'm glad I only paid $1.99 for it take up space in my library.
