Dead Again (Book #1 of the Zombie Diaries)

( 20 )

Overview

The Black Hawk chopper banked a hard turn, rotors thumping, providing a bird’s eye view of the burning landscape. Commander Peterson couldn’t help wondering what people around the world thought of this apocalypse. Maybe they accepted it as a biological infection. Maybe some believed a curse had descended upon the world, that this was the end of days. Maybe some already realized the inevitable, horrible truth: only the strongest would survive.

Maybe some believed a curse had descended upon the world, that this was the end of days. Maybe some already realized the inevitable, horrible truth: only the strongest would survive.

Within forty eight hours, it had become a global pandemic. There was no explanation. The dead were rising, returning to life, and devouring the living. Commander Peterson, leader of the most elite fighting unit in the U.S. armed forces, was assigned one, last final mission.

In his worst nightmares he never could have imagined this apocalypse, or that he and his team were to become the one last hope that still remained….

    Zombies and misspellings

An ok story, interesting but the POV and the simplistic characters are not consistent. The end has massive errors but the story is still somewhat interesting.

    Proofread!!!

The spec ops characters are just about the lamest ever. They're written as a bunch of stupid, whiney, careless, incompetent dimwits. These characters are so badly written. The story has too many typos and blatant mistakes, that it takes away from the story as a whole. Cannot recommend this book.

    Good read

Decent zombie story. One flaw os that the "special ops" guys seem to be undisciplined, and always in a panic making cherry mistakes. Really took away from the story.

    Great read

Im a big fan of the zombie genre and found this book a very good read. The storyline was well developed and had my attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed watching how the characters grew n changed. They were believable and I could identify with their reactions. I am definately going to read more by this author.

    Awesome!!!!

I thought this book would be a short story for 99 cents...boy was I wrong! Fantastic read! All 700 some pages! Can't wait for book 2!

    Does this author speak english?

I read someones review about typos and mistakes, but did not think much of it until I started reading this book. It was absurd! There were grammatical errors in almost every chapter and it was distracting. I'm not at all interested in reading book #2 and I do not recomemd this book.

    A good story. But...

This is a very entertaining story. However, the spelling is on the order of what you would expect from a slightly slow-witted ten year old. And it is constant. Each page has mistakes. Plus,it is not a 700 plus page book. More like a long paragraph constitutes (look up the big word...spelled correctly btw) each page. More along the order of 250 pages in reality. I do hope that this author continues to improve. Except for the above errors it is a good read. I agree with the last review, learn about guns BEFORE you write about them. Some of those errors are just ridiculous.

    Ok zombie book

On my nook it said 779 pages but it you count then one at a time only 162 every time i turned the page it would take 5 or 6 pages off so if your expecting a 700 page book dont be.

    Terrible!

Poorly written, poorly researched, poorly edited, characters were clownishly simplistic and unrealistic. The author is badly in need of a military consultant as he obviously has no knowledge. He should stick to writing what he knows,

Oh, hire a proofreader as well

It wasn't the worst book ever, but I won't be reading the next one. The writting was poor and the characters were not developed at all.
