    Improves on the Lionsgate DVD

Trophy husband Jack Wade takes his comatose wife to a remote cabin in the mountains. They are flat broke since Frankie, a B movie producer, wasted all their money. The isolation and the redneck locals conspire to drive Jack mad, and eventually he murders his wife. Or was it someone else? Is Frankie alive, walking the halls, chain smoking and mocking him as she did in life, or is she dead and gone in her bed? Could it be both? Dead and Gone is a black humored horror romp in the tradition of the Evil Dead series, and this excellent novel was actually written by the screenwriter, experienced author Harry Shannon.
