She has received numerous awards including the 2005 Al Nakkula Award for Police Reporting, the only national award dedicated to crime coverage, and is a 2011 Knight-Wallace Fellow. She has appeared on NBC’s Dateline and A&E’s Crime Stories, among other TV shows. She lives in Michigan.

    Repetitive Ends Abruptly

    The bulk of this book is fillled with trial transcripts even in a "Day 1", "Day 2", et cetera, style You will find yourself skipping at least 100 pages. You really don't feel like you know the players and not sure if author actually interviewwed anyone personally. My book ended at page 258. WOW! If that is where the author actually ended the book and not a technical problem on the download, it is really awful and getting a refund. Actualljy I believe it was the end. The index onlu lists the 38 chapters. Trye crime fans, I eiuld pass on this one!

    Insightful and comprehensive coverage of a tragedy

    I found the story fascinating, well-written and compelling. Amber Hunt is a gifted writer and is definitely one to watch. I was left wanting to know more details, and I found it difficult to put the book down. The key people were brought to life for me in a way which explained their behavior.
    It's clear why Dateline chose to feature this crime story in one of their 2 hour episodes. I appreciate Amber Hunt's insightful and comprehensive coverage of this tragedy.
