I sank into my chocolate leather couch and kicked off my Jimmy Choos. What bliss. Until the phone rang.
‘Nella?’ My best friend sounded stern. ‘I tried your mobile earlier.’
‘I was doing a presentation: all mobiles, um, immobilised. So, why were you after me?’
‘Please say you’re free tonight,’ said Suze. ‘Charlie forgot I’m going out. So he’s left the car for service, to save time tomorrow.’
