Joanna is the recipient of a new cornea, courtesy of a dead priest. She sees things that aren't there like shadows and blames it on the surgery. Yet, nobody believes her and the terror begins. Is it an evil eye? Sorry, had to put that in there. This horror story is a riveting piece of work. Shaun Jeffrey captures what the horror fan wants; being on the edge of their seat.

from Murphy's Library - rated 3 and a half there
This is a really fast read, and not just because it is a short novella. It is because the book truly catches your attention.
Joanna Raines is a photographer who is going blind. She truly thinks nothing can be worse than that, but when she has an eye transplant she discovers that worse is the evil that she is seeing with her new eye.
As she sees the first shadows and goes to her doctor to discover what is the problem, it seems the solution was found, but the danger grows and she finds herself in the middle of a horror story.
I can't say a lot without giving away all the plot, but this book is truly instigating. The horror Joanna feels and sees is so well described that you fell her angst, and the narrative's pace is very well chosen. A great horror novella for all horror fans.

Overview
A corneal transplant does more than correct Joanna Raines sight. It allows her to see something that doesn't want to be seen. Something evil. Something that threatens mankind. The only trouble is that no one believes her, and by the time they do, it might be too late ... Seeing is believing. Now Joanna just has to convince everyone else.
