Another wonderful book by Ms. Kelly Jameson. She is a creative and talented author- I love how she weaves in local culture and historical situations into her tale. Very rich charachters and enough surprizes to keep me interested from front to back.

Dead On is a great read. Fast, intriguing, and original. Kelly Jameson creates characters that you care about, ones that are not the typical stereotypes you often find in this genre of literature. Lots of twists and turns keep you guessing and turning the pages. What I found truly unique about this novel is just how good the actual writing is. It does not read like your typical suspense novel and yet it remains every bit as much of a page turner as a James Patterson novel. If you enjoy a good mystery/thriller, give this one a chance. It's a pleasant surprise.

DEAD ON is woven around an intriguing premise - a serial killer chasing his prey through time, starting in Virginia just after the Civil War and leading to a small town in Pennsylvania in the present time. Jameson manages to remain true to her characters in the different time periods and has a nice way of handling setting, especially the current time in a picture-perfect small town with some sinister secrets. She gives sufficient detail to make settings and people come alive without robbing the reader of the chance to engage their own imagination. In addition to a compelling story line (and I won't spoil it by giving any more details), DEAD ON has some fine writing, with many lyrical passages and a vocabulary that is interesting without being intrusive. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an unusual, erotic mystery

Dead On is a suspenseful and exciting book from an extraordinary writer. Kelly Jameson's writing style pulls you into two worlds--it is thrilling, mysterious, and at times, poetic. The story is both historic and current, romantic, yet suspenseful. This is a well written story with characters you can relate to, a story line that is plausible, and plenty of surprises to make it unpredictable and thoroughly enjoyable. There is something for everyone here--and I highly recommend it. This book is especially suitable for book clubs and literature studies. I found myself reading passages out loud to my husband. I love the well crafted analogies the writer weaves throughout the story. It was hard to put down. I can hardly wait for her next book!
