I loved this book!! Middle of the night I had to buy all the others in the series, I liked it that much! I had never read anything by Jasmine Haynes before......never really heard of her before but she has a new fan in me! I didn't think the sex was too much or too graphic but it was all through the book and I just started the second one and its all through that so if you don't like sex in your books - give it a skip BUT if you do - you don't want to pass this up!

I have read all 5 books and really enjoyed them all. So much so, I have now started sharing them with my friends. The length of the books are typically 500-700 pages so well worth the money. Try them out you will like them. :)

I just finished the whole series and loved every minute of it. Jasmine is one if my new favorite authors. Her books are suspenseful, sexy as hell, funny, and awesome charactor development. I will miss reading about Max, Witt and good old Ladybird.

Let's get something straight- I have nothing against smut. I enjoy smut. I enjoy paranormal smut ala the Undead and Unwed series by Maryjanice Davidson. I mean, can one ever have too much smut? Apparently the sad answer is yes, and that is exactly what I felt while reading this book. Maybe I have a problem with the fact that the heroine has very low self esteem due to much abuse in her childhood. I understand that all characters need to have a flaw- but seriously? A woman who's inner dialog calls herself a whore and slut? I am giving this a conservative 3 stars and I am going to read the second book to decide if I need to give a 2 star review and wish Ms. Haynes the best.

I've read the entire series and it is one I like to revisit on a fairly regular basis. Although it certainly won't appeal to everyone with its paranormal slant, the characters are well written, complex and their struggle is more realistic than fantastical.

I really wanted to like this book and I love books with some good sex in them but can't quite appreciate plain f**king with no good feelings and that is all that it was about. The mystery story line was good and kept me guessing and REALLY if the sex would have been left out the book would have been much better. I wouldn't call it erotic or romance. Glad it didn't cost too much

Not romantic sex, just raunchy sex that made me wish the book was a lot shorter. The mystery was ok but I just couldn't stomach the rest.

This could have been a good book but I did not appreciate the graphic sex that seemed to never end. The plot was interesting and I did finish the book just to find out who the killer was. But I will not go out of my way to read another one of the series. Too bad cuz I actually liked the character--just didn't want to be in bed with her the whole time

Only made it thru the first 10 pages & already graphic sex. Might be good for readers who like explicit sexual stories. I never could read harliquin romances, tho, sorry.

Great start to a new series. Max has had such a hard life, and it has made her an emotionally distant and guarded person. She trusts no one, not even her now dead husband. Though he's dead, his ghost is still around and pushing her into excepting her psychic abilities, while at the same time pushing her towards Detective Witt Long. I loved this first book in the series, although to be honest I found her ghostly husband a bit of a cruel jerk at times. I feel for her even not having experienced a majority of her life's pain. I loved this book and I look forward to reading the next.
