I don't normally go for such explicit books but this was phenomenal. Tastefully. done great characters the plot for all the books is so intricately done I didn't see any of it coming. the suspense was amazing and It leaves you craving more of Max and Witt! Fantastic read!

I loved this book!! Middle of the night I had to buy all the others in the series, I liked it that much! I had never read anything by Jasmine Haynes before......never really heard of her before but she has a new fan in me! I didn't think the sex was too much or too graphic but it was all through the book and I just started the second one and its all through that so if you don't like sex in your books - give it a skip BUT if you do - you don't want to pass this up!

I've read the entire series and it is one I like to revisit on a fairly regular basis. Although it certainly won't appeal to everyone with its paranormal slant, the characters are well written, complex and their struggle is more realistic than fantastical.

My major complaint about this book was the plot holes. Our leading lady some how leaps to conclusions on who killed the victim while denying the involvement of a suspect shes lusting after. The characters are poorly developed to the point where I began to be annoyed by Max and her nearly bipolar state. Her dead husbands ghost who is pressuring to solve this case also has some logical character flaws, pushing her to move on, get a new man to love while throwing a hissy fit after she shows interest in the main suspect Nick. I can accept a depressing point in a story bevause hey, how boring would it be to read a book with no plot, however the depressing tone of th book NEVER ENDS! Her diction is also off, just ill fitting for the story. One minute its fancy words that sound asif its just to strut the knowledge of the author then it shifts to conversational curses and dialouge. One final criticism is the sex. Like the book its just not inspiring though its detailed, atmosphere and mood is non exsistant. Just dont waste your money...

Wow....this book is something. The entire series is filled with a troubled heroine that is REALLY messed up and continuously makes some really poor decisions. The story is good but you really need to read the entire 5 book series in order to truly appreciate the evolution of this poor gals life.

I really wanted to like this book and I love books with some good sex in them but can't quite appreciate plain f**king with no good feelings and that is all that it was about. The mystery story line was good and kept me guessing and REALLY if the sex would have been left out the book would have been much better. I wouldn't call it erotic or romance. Glad it didn't cost too much
