Dead! [NOOK Book]

Overview

I remember my death so clearly.

People say that your whole life flashes before your eyes. That didn’t happen to me. For me it was an explosion of light and then a searing pain that vanished in an instant as the .50 calibre Desert Eagle round ripped through my sternum.

I remember my resurrection less clearly.

Dead! is a short zombie tale.

Meet the Author

Troy is a professional make-up artist, artist, writer, actor and X-Box junkie.

He is the creator of the Tales From The Lounge and Dragon Days web-comics and his independant film work includes the movies The Clown, Last Time She Lived and Furor.

Troy was born and grew up in Staffordshire. His interest in films grew from an early age, influenced by seeing Star Wars:A New Hope when he was nine and from the stories his Great-Uncle would tell him about classic monster movies like King Kong and Dracula.

Troy has a background in art and theatre and trained as a Make-up artist - the prospectus for the course excited him and he lost no time in learning the skills which also included photography, costume and wig-making. Troy is fully versed in every aspect of make-up from face painting to HD film work. As an actor Troy has found himself working opposite his own make-up creations on several occasions.

As an artist Troy has produced work as diverse as web-comics, fine art, watercolours, graffiti and theatrical sets and he considers make-up to be an extension of that artwork using the human form as the canvas.

Troy published his first story Monsters Are Real in the eZine 13 Human Souls and has since gone on to write and publish several short stories.

Troy divides his time between his passion for his artwork, writing, acting, make-up, playing guitar and spending time with his three children, he can be found playing Black-Ops and HALO with his girlfriend and lives in Staffordshire with his crazy dog Theo.

    .

These stories are funny. I really enjoy reading from the snarky zombie point and not from some terrified group of suvivors. Both of these stories were excelent.

    ..

I loved this short story. Great take on a zombie story. There were several typos and grammer errors, but not so bad that it left you confused. Worth the little time it takes to read.

    Entertaining!

If you like zombies even a little bit, you've got to read this story. It's told from the point of view of the zombie, and it certainly isn't what I expected.
