**** Nominated Best Mystery Romance in the 2014 Indie Romance Convention Awards ****

There's more than one secret in the old Blackmoore house. Some have been buried for a long time and some are sitting closer to the surface.

Morgan and Fiona Blackmoore enjoy their simple life in the sleepy ocean-side town of Noquitt Maine where they offer herbal remedies and crystal healing for locals and tourists alike.

...Until Morgan is accused of killing the town shrew, Prudence Littlefield.

Suddenly the girls find themselves scrambling to find the real killer while they battle a crooked Sheriff, planted evidence, and a long list of suspects that all had a reason to want Prudence dead.

Handsome Jake Cooper is new to the Noquitt Maine police force, which is exactly why Fiona Blackmoore doesn't trust him. But with time running out and the evidence against her sister piling up, Fiona has to make a choice - will she trust Jake with her sisters case ... and her own heart?

Add in an old mansion on the cliffs of Maine, an attic full of mysterious treasures, and a cat that has the uncanny ability to show up at exactly the right time and Fiona has her hands full proving the Sheriff's accusations about her sister being a murderer are Dead Wrong.

I absolutely love the Blackmoore sisters books. It is so refreshing to read really good books that are clean! I can't stand to pick up any book that the author has to resort to using filthy language and graphic sex to sell a storyline. The Blackmoore sisters mysteries are wonderful! Love them and can't wait for the next one.

    Fast, cozy mystery.

This is a fast cozy mystery. Very clean. The is very mild murder and violence details. This book has some gentle humor. Chick lit. There may a very light touch of the paranormal. This series of books is enjoyable and would be suitable for ages 16 and up. Grannies will enjoy them also.

Short and Sweet and very enjoyable!

This book was a very quick read. However, it was really good and I enjoyed the characters. I hope that in later books there is more back story etc with the sisters.

I really enjoyed this book, I love the mix of the personalities of the sisters. I enjoyed the hint of paranormal, the humor and of course the cat that appears at helpful times. The mystery was good and kept me guessing. I will definitely move on to the next in this series.

    Great, easy read weekend story

I have read another one of her books. I also wanted to start reading a small series, with under 130 pages it was a great read-excited to read the rest of the series. She is a clean writer, with great plots. I really enjoyed the book.

This is a very enjoyable book. It's rather light hearted. The characters are quirky and the clues are very interesting. I like that it can be read by a younger and older audience,  and be enjoyed by both. It has a nice touch of romance and a little paranomal. Overall, I recommend it for a little light reading.

    awful, skip it

This short book was awful. The plot was boring, and the mystery was easy to solve almost from the very start. The police work was so incredibly incompetent and totally unrealistic, it was pathetic. The characters were poorly developed, as was the supposed romance. I felt absolutely no sense of connection between the two characters, and the primary indication of any attraction was her overly active stomach sensations. I highly recommend skipping this one.

    Cute plot

I was surprised - with all the positive reviews, I was expecting a well-written book. Cute plot idea, not great execution. This read almost like a High School creative writing essay. I stuck with it, to see how the author would tie things up, only to find you have to buy the next in the series. I'm not sure who the intended audience is, the writing style is too childish for adults, but too much sexual tension for anyone under 18. 125 pages, some swearing, no gore.

    Fun!

This book was a lot of fun. The Blackmoore sisters live together in the family house in Ogutt Maine. Town history has the family with generations of witches, and both Morgan and Fiona, who run an herb and crystal shop may or may not agree: one is a PhP, the other a gemologist. They deal with all sorts, but when one isarrested for the murder of a grumpy, arguementative townsperson, the murder lands at their feet.

Did she do it? Better, if she did then WHY would she? Or did someone else have a motive that creeps around the edges...

This was a well written character driven cozy mystery. I know there are more in the series, and I will definately be looking for them

This is an easy, fun cozy mystery.  It was fun following the sisters trying to figure out who murdered the town pain and set up the eldest as the murderess all the while watching the second eldest fall for the new cop in town.  The sisters are sweet, the cop is hunky and the town is quirky.  Whats not to love.
