"Deadliest" is a great first book from Mike Oliveri. The story line is great and easy to follow. He doesn't jump around with the story telling. Mike has created a town of horror and believalble characters when he created the town of Rapture. Mike's ability to describe in detail everything is flawless, which makes it easy to picture in your head what the town and people look like. Final words, just read it!! You'll enjoy it!!

In his debut, Bram Stoker Award-winning novel, Oliveri spins a cleverly written and fast-paced novel about witches who control a town called Rapture. Tim Wilder decides to head West after a painful divorce, only to end up in a strange little town nestled in a desert valley. But the place is verdant and green, instead of hot and dry, but that is only the beginning of the weirdness. The women, led by the seductive and enigmatic Alexandra, rule Rapture, with all the males being complete subservient and in fear of them. But that is the least of Tim's worries. Because Alexandra has plans for him. Whether he wants to go along with it or not. Erotic and nightmarish, Oliveri crafts an enjoyable and original horror novel, with a nice twist ending.
