Good series. Believable characters in a world gone to hell. There were a couple of characters that didn't take me long to really hate and was hoping for payback against them because they were evil as it gets. There are a few unlikely characters that team up and I really liked the interactions between them. This series is a very fast read though. Book 4 is short but really fast paced and a ton of action. I did feel that tying it all to the conclusion of book 4 seemed to be a little rushed by Mr. Wise. I would have liked to have seen some chapters drawn out a little more. Having said that, he did a good job of bringing it all together in the end. He did say at the end of the book that there will be a number 5 and I look forward to reading it.

Deadlocked 4 is, you guessed it, the 4th book in the Deadlocked zombie series by A.R. Wise. This is a popular zombie series with readers. There's a lot of zombie blood and guts and, unfortunately, human as well. Wise manages to keep the action going at a frenetic pace while also showing the depth of his characters. It's not a long story, but very intense. I think it would have benefited from a few breaks in that intensity. If you love zombies, give this series a try.Was this review helpful? I enjoyed this book but unlike book 1 & 2 that i loved and read through quickly, or the overly long book 3 that felt like a lot of fluff, this one was shorter but still took me weeks to read. I personally wasn't a big fan of the third person writing stay or the constant scene changes between up half a dozen different conversations happening at the same time and almost forcefully being cut as cliffhangers each time annoyed me. By itself i would give 3 or 3.5 stars but I liked the ending and the series itself was pretty good but I would prefer this writer stay with the first person narrative. I still strongly encourage anyone who likes horror or excitment to read book 1 and 2 and once you do that you wont be able to not read book 3 & 4.Was this review helpful?
