In-depth characters, engrossing plot and glued-to-your chair suspense all combine to make Deadly Cure a book worth reading and passing on. Deadly Cure provides fascinating insight into the benefits and pitfalls of medical research. Authors Glahn and Cutrer have written an emotionally charged book that draws the reader into medical ethics issues often not addressed in works of fiction. Their skillful writing helps readers understand the world of bio-genetics research. Definitely a must-read.
I loved reading 'Lethal Harvest' from last year's fiction bestseller list and was equally captivated as the story-line was continued in Cutrer and Glahn's new release, 'Deadly Cure'. Characters endeared, like Ben and Marnie, were back bringing more emotion-packed drama. And, as new characters are introduced in this enthralling episode involving the newly re-built fertility clinic, all their lives continue to be surrounded by the world of medical research and its effect, or possible effect, on each of them. These readings, by envisioning realistic situations, have been an excellent way for me to better understand the need to develop a personal ethical position on just how far I hope that medical research and advancements can take us and at what costs. 'Deadly Cure' can be easily followed, in plot, before reading 'Lethal Harvest', but go ahead and pick them both up for a great reading experience!
