Kelsey was a bubbly ray of sunshine. It is impossible to comprehend how anyone could harm a child, much less have something happen when so many were watching so closely. The lesson from Kelsey's death is not only a cry to stop child abuse, but a reminder to cherish the little ones in our lives, and a warning to those embroiled in custody battles to take the focus

Overview

Kelsey was a bubbly ray of sunshine. It is impossible to comprehend how anyone could harm a child, much less have something happen when so many were watching so closely. The lesson from Kelsey's death is not only a cry to stop child abuse, but a reminder to cherish the little ones in our lives, and a warning to those embroiled in custody battles to take the focus off themselves and put it where it belongs, on the innocent children who did not ask to be a pawn in someone's game.

I have first heard Kelsey's story back in Nov of 2007 and this little girls tragic death broke my heart. I was sent the YouTube video that the paternal family/friends had made and I cried....I was so bothered by this tragic death I had to investigate and research, so I did...the internet has everything you need! At first I also blamed the mother but after seeing the facts that she took Kelsey to the ER, she took her to the Dr.'s she completed courses DHS told her she had to ttake and she was torn apart when Kelsey was takedn from her....ok, So I shouldn't go into my opinion of the case but as for the book....it opened my eyes to allot and I now understand why the judge placed Kelsey back with her mother and that no Paternal family member's objected or appealed this decision. The book was repetitive but overall a wonderful book that I highly reccomend, especially if you have seen the videos and heard about poor little Kelsey. I think of her allot! May she RIP!

This is one of the saddest but most important child custody struggles of this century. Judge key sets out the facts that led to Kelsey's tragic death and lets you the reader try to solve this murder mystery. No one will ever pay for this little girls death that sparked such strong emmotions following her death. A MUST READ!!!

This is one book I couldn't put down. The story is so sad and the struggle for Kelsey is obvious, even on the internet.

First of all I would like to point out that this judge, according to testimonies from witnesses such as Officer Byers, had his mind made up prior to showing up to work that day as he had tickets to Las Vegas and a plane to catch. That was why he didn't hear all witnesses. I have studied this case for years and I can tell you just by reading the legal documents made public online you can see the innaccuracies in this book. This book is nothing but self serving lies made by a man who has as much blood on his hands as the one who killed Kelsey. That is why the book is self published. And to the reviewer before me, the video you saw on YouTube was not made by the paternal family, it was made by a woman who is dedicated to bringing awareness to child abuse and to telling the stories of the victims. And if you think that Kelseys family did not have a problem with her being returned to the home where she suffered a broken collar bone, two broken legs, and numerous other injuries you must not be well informed. You have to be mindful of these Raye Dawn Smith supporters, they are relentless and vindictive towards anything that makes her look guilty, which would be the truth. It makes.one wonder why she still to this day refuses a polygraph. I wish that Raye Dawn fought for Kelsey like her supporters do her freedom. I urge you to boycott the guilty ones from profitting off Kelseys murder. Read Who Killed Kelsey? for the truth.

When my wife and I were discussing divorce, a friend of hers sent a youtube video of a little girl who died after being abused. It made us think of our own children and what could happen to them if we brought someone new into their lives. We searched for more information about Kelsey and discovered a book had been written. The title, alone, gave us a clue about what really happened. After reading the book and discussing the issues that Kelsey's family faced, we decided it wasn't worth it. We started seeing a counselor and have since come to terms with our issues. The judge who wrote this book opened our eyes. We can't thank him enough for sharing his family's story and Kelsey's story.

It's great to finally know the true facts based on court records and not media interpretation. A very said story, but a great factual book by the Judge

This former freshman judge was ousted after only one term in office and is now out for revenge from the people that helped campaign against him. The story is told is one sided and the lies are enormous. I testified at this trial and my own testimony is not complete in this book. It has been altered for his own benefit. The mother has now been sentenced to 27 years in prison for enabling child abuse with some of the jurors sure that she was the one that indeed caused Kelsey's death. The real truth came out in the trial. This book was released before that trial and is heresay on the part of the judge. After writing this book, his future as a judge is more bleak than before. Who would want to elect a judge that might later, when the case is still sealed from the public, release a book about their lives and make innuendos that were totally incorrect. Send your money to Prevention of Child Abuse instead of purchasing this book.
