Overview

When actress Kate Sachs steps into the actors’ lounge to turn out a light, the last thing she expects to find is a man in a mask hiding in the shadows and her director crumpled in a corner, unconscious. The man attacks her, but stops short of killing her when he hears a noise and runs away. She calls the police who finally arrive and rush her director to the hospital. Then Kate goes home, never suspecting that everything she holds dear is now in jeopardy. But when the man in the mask threatens her family, she fights back, and in a deadly game of cat and mouse, the hunted becomes the hunter.

About the Author

M.K. Perkins has been a writer for most of her life, including her years as an actress when she wrote articles in her spare time. Like her protagonist, Kate Sachs, she knows what it’s like to be a struggling actress, having appeared on stage and in many soap operas and movies as an extra. Unlike Kate, she never landed a starring role on television. So to make a living she started a consulting firm specializing in training (with a theatrical flair), catering to firms on Wall Street. But that gypsy in her soul, as a friend dubbed her creative muse, was only in hiding. She popped out one day and refused to leave her alone. DEADLY PLAY is the result of her persistence. M.K. Perkins lives in Fairfield County, CT with her husband. She is working on another novel about Kate called DEADLY ACTS that is set in Paris and London.
