She is currently toiling away on her next book, wishing she was on a Mexican beach with an ice-cold Corona in one hand and her Kindle in the other. When she is not dabbling in fiction, she is arm wrestling with her two kids, attempting to seduce her husband, and arguing with her sassy cat. Most nights, you can find her hanging out over at www.anncharles.com, on Facebook as Ann Charles, or as DeadwoodViolet on Twitter--especially around midnight when her quirky fictional world comes to life.

I got the first book on a promotional offer and then quickly bought the rest of them.  This writer is fresh and totally entertaining.  I found myself laughing out loud at the turn of phrases she uses.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Purple Cowboy boots...Ann Charles fans know their importance, but few understand it. This "short" can be read as a stand alone or as a backdrop to the first four books in the series. And for those awaiting the fifth...there is just enough Violet and Doc to get you through until we find out what they are going to get into next!! I absolutely enjoy Ann's "shorts" between series books. They give me just enough insight into why my favorite characters do what they do, and how they have ended up to be where they are today.

Ann Charles captures your imagination with her quirky characters

Ann Charles captures your imagination with her quirky characters and story line. I highly recommend reading the entire series of books about Violet, her family and the men in her life. As one reads, you get the connection between the title and Violet. This glimpse into her life leaves you wanting to know more about her background and where it's going. Ann Charles is an amazing young writer with unlimited potential and an outstanding personality that proves it in her books.
