One of the most difficult parts of being a principal is having to deal with those teachers who cause 98 percent of the problems in a school. As usual, Todd Whitaker provides an extremely practical look on how administrators can deal with those teachers who have problems getting along with students and parents, and other staff. His reminders regarding keeping an eye on the best staff members is well-taken, but his approaches to dealing with worst ones are just what a new principal needs. This book is a "one-seater" read with just the right amount of anecdotes and stories from the author's experiences. I have studied its practical suggestions carefully and found them most helpful. A great gift for the new principal!
