Children's Literature - Meredith KigerOne in a series of six books aimed at helping primary aged children deal with common conflicts in everyday life, this well designed book presents a series of realistic situations and suggestions for handling them. The reader is brought into the discussion by having to answer a few questions about each situation which gives them a chance to practice solving the problem. Situations such as 'when feelings get hurt', 'when you feel mean', and 'hurting back doesn't help' are discussed in thoughtful and efficient language. Photographs of young people in 'real' situations provide support. A positive and upbeat tone makes most problems sound normal and surmountable. A glossary of terms is included. Great for family or school discussions.
