    Shattered

One of the best Dean Koontz books I've read in a while. It was suspenseful and full of tense moments. Alex has just married Courtney and they are moving to San Francisco from Philidelphia. Courtney flies to San Francisco ahead of Alex and her little brother, Colin. Alex and Colin hit the road on a cross country trip that takes an unexpected turn. Stalked by a man who is out to kill them and anybody else who get's in his way of him being with his beloved Courtney. This was an excellent book because it was nice and short, but also high packed.

Dean Koontz Three Complete Novels: A New Collection: (Shattered/Whispers/Watchers)

This story(Shattered) was a short and sweet. Sweet like a nest of hornets! This little book was chock full of suspense and action. It doesn't stop! From beginning to end it's awesome! The whole story line is a man and a little kid going to see the little kids sister, who just married the man. On the way they're stalked by someone who is obsessed with the sister. My favorite character was the little kid-Colin-he's incredibly smart and he misses nothing. He was the one who realized that they were being followed, very insightful little kid. He's kind of an outsider because he's smart and the other kids resent that, so he's quiet at first with the man-Doyle-then gradually opens up as kids do. I think anyone who has time on their hands should read this book.

Dean Koontz Three Complete Novels: A New Collection: (Shattered/Whispers/Watchers)

This one book confused me a little (Whispers). It's about a man who is psychologically ruined because of his mother, and how she treated him when he was younger. As revenge he goes out and kills women. Nice person, huh? Well, he starts to stalk to wrong woman, one who a policeman had a crush on. Baaaad idea. I actually don't have a favorite character in this story, none of them really meant anything to me. I couldn't relate to any of them. And when you can't relate to the characters, you get bored reading that book. That's what happened to me. Someone else might like reading it, but I got bored with it.
