Overview

In Eberville, Louisiana, a widowed mother weeps over the recent death of her son.

People are calling the tragedy an accident. Stella Voss, the boy's mother, is screaming murder. When the town's sheriff is unable to prove her suspicions correct, Stella takes matters into her own hands. And support is only a letter away from her mailbox.

Rumored to be one of the last of the Moss Hill Witches, Ariel Bordeaux is possibly Stella's answer for revenge. Ariel agrees to Stella's wishes only in exchange for information leading to a shotgun-wielding psychopath who's been mailing her threatening letters from Eberville. Ariel knows she must stop him before he fulfills his evil desires.

"Dear Arial," takes readers to a small town crowded with as many bars as churches, serves up as many twists and turns as a Louisiana back road, and brings to life colorful characters struggling to survive in a whirlwind of lies. The story calculates a mother's vengeance, a fool's battle to save his marriage, and reveals the bizarre combination of love and rage beating inside the black hearts of killers.

Dear Arial encompasses so many themes its hard to decide where to start..love, hate, obsession, adultery, witchcraft, lonliness and the endless fight of good and evil are some of the more prominent ones. In this novel, we follow several main characters on a journey that leaves you guessing and furiously turning pages in anticipation. The story unfolds in the small town of Eberville, Louisiana, where a young boy, Stephen, is found dead. The town calls it a tragic accident, while his mother screams murder. Stella, Stephen's mother, seeks solace in the comforting words of her long time friend and pen pal, Ariel, who is also rumored to be a witch. Ariel agrees to pay Stella a visit and help her seek revenge for her son's untimely death. There's so much more to the story though, that's difficult to touch on without spending hours explaining the complexity of the plot and all the twists and turns the story takes. This is one you'll have to read for yourselves to appreciate fully. If you like mysterious twisting plots, you'll love Dear Arial, go out and get yourself a copy and then settle in and enjoy the ride. Two thumbs way up.
