Overview

Esther Luttrell is not a religious philosopher, or a psychic, or anything remotely like that-just a mother who lost her boy and who has been blessed by his presence from the Other Side.
"Dear Dean,
I know you've wondered if I would ever understand what it is you've been trying to tell me since the day you crossed over. In my missing you, in my desperate search for answers, I was so busy shouting why, why, why that I couldn't hear your clear voice. This book, honey, is my wholehearted effort to share your messages-when I finally shut up long enough to hear them."
-Esther Luttrell, Excerpt from Dear Dean...Love, Mom.

"What is wrong with God? Why in the world would he ever put a parent through the nightmare, the anguish, of losing a child? How, through the miracle of birth, could He give a mother His most precious gift...only to snatch it back, recalling it to the heavens as if it were some defective merchandise? What is wrong with God?
Esther Luttrell lost her son. Did she grieve? Of course. Was she in pain? Of course. But what if, when the nest was empty, the bird continued to fly? What if life continued on the Other Side?
"Dear Dean...Love, Mom" is Esther's true-life encounter with her son after he crossed over. This journal of life-after-life is spellbinding and mysterious, but also hopeful and enchanting.
What if God didn't get it wrong? What if the miracle of life doesn't end with death? What if the miracle of life continues?
Esther has lived an extraordinary life. A life filled one moment with exhilaration and the next moment with despair. But, finally, she is able to share her story with the world. Her nest may be empty, but she knows, in her heart of hearts, somewhere in the heavens, her bird is still flying."
-Ken Rotcop author of The Perfect Pitch series

Editorial Reviews

Carole A. Ferrill
Dear Dean?Love, Mom is one book you won't want to put down. Esther continues to help people who have lost a loved one, in a way that no one else can. Her words helped me accept my son's death. If you have, or you know anyone who has, lost a loved one, the book must be read. I hope everyone will get the crystal clear message: Our loved ones are always with us.
Karen Tate
The most touching and important book I've had the joy of reading in a long time. Instead of god being used to justify hate and divisiveness, we come closer to the true nature of life, death and the Divine Source, all delivered by way of amother's love and her connection to the Other Side. A book you'll want to read, then share.

    I Also Recommend:

The hearfelt search of a mother who seeks spiritual communication with her deceased son.

All of us have lost loved ones that we would like to know are okay, happy, and safe. Few of us, however, have the inner strength and sensitivity to detect what might be their attempts to communicate with us. Esther Luttrell listened--not with her ears, but with her heart--and her son taught her a spiritual language they both could use to reach out to one another.

When Esther's son died at a young age, her despair made her question everything, including her own capacity to believe in a life beyond death. She was tempted, as are many, to find meaning in typical "signs"--anything that would give her hope. But, she resisted these feeble attempts to attach meaning to false messages.

Finally, by searching within herself, Esther came to understand that certain incidents in her life could only be coming from her son--words, actions, and happenings that required contemplation and an open heart. She learned that her son was teaching her a language--not a language of words, but one of spirit. Once she learned this language, she could communicate with her son, and what she discovered was beautiful. He was indeed okay. And, he was with her--always.

Dear Dean, Love Mom will speak to anyone who has lost a child, a parent, a sibling, any other family member, or a dear friend. It will speak to everyone.

    Inspirational!!! A must-read book!

This book is inspirational and something I believe everyone should read. I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. The author writes very well and tells a compelling story. This book is especially for everyone who has lost a loved one and wants to know if that person is okay.

Thank you Esther Luttrell for finally figuring it out for us!

I have always talked to my deceased husband, but wondered if he was hearing me. Esther Luttrell's "Dear Dean...Love Mom" solved that problem for me! If you have not yet, you will someday loose someone very close to your heart. Sorrow is very painful, however this book takes much of that sorrow away. This book tells you that God DOES keep His promises. Our loved ones are not only in our hearts, but they reside with us, just on the other side of life's street. Esther has been able to cross that street.

This story will tweak your imagination, tease your hopes, and capture your heart.

Esther Luttrell has a unique writing style that snuggles up close and gives the reader an intimate glimpse into the life of the author. Her personality sparkles through her words in such a way that the reader feels he knows this colorful writer personally.
Esther's account of her son's death and her subsequent communication with him is not only convincing, it is uplifting and reassuring. Even those who are nonbelievers will find this book a fascinating read, and it just may serve to make them think again about the meaning of life and death and the power of love.

A definite MUST READ for anyone who believes... or doesn't believes!

Esther has created a heart warming and incredibly touching account of her sons passing. She believes that she is still in contact with her son Dean, and after reading her story it will leave you believing as well.

Dear Dean, Love Mom - Esther Luttrell

I have known, and been a friend of, Esther Luttrell for quite a few years now. From the first time that I, as an aspiring screenwriter and applicant for one of her screenplay workshops, heard her sweet, kind voice (she was still in Hollywood at the time) I knew there was something special about this lady.

Unfortunately, she'd already lost her son Dean, but the very fact that I was talking to her had evolved from that agonizing loss.

However, that allowed me, first, as a recipient of her wonderful teaching and mentoring skills, then, as her friend, to have a close-up view of some of the events she describes in this book. It's as if Dean was hand-selecting those of us whom he knew needed each other's friendship. When Esther and I met, it was serendipity.

You, too, will come away, after reading this book, with a clear sense that, indeed, more things are happening around us, spiritually, than meet the eye.

An Angel Reaches Out from the Other Side

Esther Luttrell, the author of "Dear Dean...Love, Mom, carried this story within her for many years before she decided to commit it to paper. She thought people would call her crazy. Even though she knew that the events of her story actually happened, they were so incredible that it was hard to convince even herself that they were true.

At last Esther made up her mind to tell the story of how her beloved son Dean passed through to the other side and continued to communicate with her when she least expected it and through people she did not even know. The story is a testimony to a mother's love, a mother paralyzed by grief who came to realize that death is but a doorway. "Dear Dean...Love, Mom" is a story of second chances, of hope, of wonder, of miracles and healing.
It is a must read for parents whose hearts are broken, anyone who has lost a loved one, those who believe that angels walk among us and everyone who believes in miracles.

Esther and Dean Reaffirmed My Belief in the Other Side

I'd been so busy I hadn't taken time for pleasure reading but I am so glad I gave myself the gift of this wonderful little book! But then again, there are no coincidences. I'm sure I was meant to read this wonderful life journey of Esther and her beloved son, Dean. Never before have I read something so important, warm and inspirational in such a quick, fun and easy read. From page to page, Esther's love and generosity poured forth. From one story to the next, I was on the edge of my seat, totally absorbed; so much so that I almost missed my own radio show because I couldn't put the book down. And the book spoke to me. So much of what Esther tells seemed it was just for me. Esther is definitely being divinely guided so that she might help not just herself, but each of us. I put that book down, only after holding it to my heart many times over, tears in my eyes, confidence in my being that when I close my eyes and my loved ones close theirs that it is not the end. Thank you Esther and Dean for this straightforward and loving approach to such an important message for us all.
