Overview

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY. . .

Rory Camden fell for Nick Shard in the third grade when he helped her save a hapless frog from several older boys. But it seemed that Nick and Rory were destined to be just friends and Rory put her unrequited feelings into her diary.

As they grew into adults, Nick’s feelings for Rory shifted to something more, and he began a campaign to win her love. But Rory had learned – through her father’s infidelity – that no man could be trusted and she couldn’t bring herself to believe she and Nick had a chance together, either.

And then tragedy struck and Rory feared she’d lost Nick forever.

    Seeing Red-SB

(I see red through these brown eyes. I look at myself and it makes me want to cry. What if I let everyone down? If I mess up, will my friends still be around? Is it something true and real that I've found?)

I walking on the scary road, heading where I'm going. Whereever that might be.
    I didnt see how understanding,
My worst enemy could become to me.

    (Chs)

I tried holding it all inside.
    Until it all came out.
From your seat, It look like I had to much pride.
But that isn't the case, Without a doubt.
    (Chs)

[Youve been trying to get in to me, but I locked you out.
I tried to open the door, but I think I already threw the key out, out, out, out.
Im trying tell you that its not your fault. Its all going inside of me.
Im trying to tell you that I will always love you no matter how bad I can be.]
