Overview

From your heart's deepest cry to life's joyful praises, nothing is off limits to Jesus.
Knowing Jesus on a deeper, more personal level means sharing all aspects of your life with Him…every day. In Dear Jesus, Sarah Young exemplifies what it means to do this-to dialogue with the Savior. She begins each of the 120 devotionals by sharing intimate struggles and longings that weigh on the heart-being preoccupied with problems; being dissatisfied with oneself, and other spiritual issues. Jesus then responds in His loving way by giving guidance and encouragement, using Scripture as the foundation from which His words flow. Readers will be drawn into the presence of God through these spiritual letters of grace.

    I Also Recommend:

    Not just another devotional

As much as I enjoy Sarah Young's other books, Dear Jesus is the one that I turn to in times of unrest, fear, or sadness but also joy and hope. Rather than a 365 day format, it is a series of letters written to Jesus followed with His reply. Pertinent Scripture verses complete the reading. It is written on a two page format that is perfect for a quick reading to start the day or in preparation for other study. I look forward to opening it each day to hear what God has to say to me. It is always the "right answer."

    Wonderful Daily Devotional

"Dear Jesus" is one of the devotional that I use daily to focus on the Lord. It reaches me so personally, and Jesus speaks to me through it. I continue to give this book to others, praying that it will bless them as it does me.

    Highly Recommended

I think fans of Jesus Calling will really enjoy this book. I read a bit of both at night before going to bed. Really enlightening.

    A wonderful guide to prayer

I bought this book for someone going through tough times. My own copy was given to me by a dear friend and I read it almost every morning to help me focus on my prayers. It seems that the daily reflections are targeted right at my own life every time I pick up the book. Amazing.
The companion book "Jesus Calling" is equally inspirational.
