Overview

Successful ‘agony aunt’ Olivia Darcy owes her career of romantic advice to her ancestors—Lizzie and Fitzwilliam Darcy's— famous name as much as her insights. But definitely not to her disastrous track record of first dates, ones she keeps hidden from even her closest friends.

But both are tested when she inadvertently challenges successful, self-made Christopher Stanley—one of London’s biggest playboys—over his latest relationship woes. When he demands a retraction, Miss Darcy ends up sparring with him, publicly and privately in a quest to prove she’s right. Only her curiosity about Christopher Stanley may cost Miss Darcy her career, her secret…and her heart!

From the author of The Wedding Caper comes this full-length romance with a Regency-inspired twist. Authors Briggs and Burgess draw on the world of Austen to craft a Pride and Prejudice-esque scenario, with characters whose romantic barbs are a tongue-in-cheek tribute to Jane herself.

I really can't be bothered to write more on the subject.

Set in London, this is a contemporary spin on an age-old romance, featuring a descendant of Elizabeth Bennett and her wonderful, prideful Mr. Darcy. The characters are crisp and new, yet the underlying current as well as the conflicts plaguing them are eerily (and delightfully) reminiscent of the characters we all love from Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. Wonderfully written, too.
