Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Gr 4-6-A collection of children's drawings and letters as well as quotes from rescue workers, volunteers, family members, and teachers who experienced the tragic bombing. The book's outward appearance suggests a young audience; however, the impact is too strong for most children to explore on their own. Reminiscent of I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Pantheon, 1993) and I Dream of Peace (HarperCollins, 1994), Ross's title is a dynamic blend of art and text that's sure to affect even those who feel safely removed from the incident. The drawings are bold and colorful, while the text touches on a variety of small events that were part of the larger tragedy. An important addition.-Jody McCoy, Casady School, Oklahoma City
