Editorial Reviews

Author VoiceMale & FatherLoss - Neil Chethik
"Fun and funny . . . a page turner"
Paige Lovitt
"In this tale, once again, Abigail Keam does an excellent job of creating a middle-aged heroine, whom I can totally relate to, an eccentric cast of characters, beautifully descriptive settings, and she also incorporates interesting tidbits of history that took place around where she lives. Her mysterious daughter also adds to the suspense. "Death by Drowning" is a must read. Fans of mystery will absolutely love it. Even though it is second in a series, it stands alone just fine.
Susan Smith-Durisek
"A sweet and spicy slice of life in the Bluegrass is served to readers as Keam sets her detective on yet another case, this time Death by Drowning."
Linda Hinchcliffe
Trying to recover and heal, Josiah's life is out of control – and out of her control. And when a friend visits Josiah and asks for her help in investigating the drowning death of her young nephew, she finds herself directed to a mission beyond her own healing – and back into danger.

Bringing back old characters and introducing new, unforgettable ones, Keam takes us on another adventure in the never dull and always witty world of Josiah Reynolds – detective

Death by Drowning by Abigail Keam is the second book of Ms. Keam's murder mystery series.
This book was a fun and exciting read. Humor is parceled out in just the right amount, as is friendship and loyalty. The characters are very well developed, each rich in his or her own idiosyncrasies. Ms. Keam writes such that readers want to know more of Josiah's life and the ending will not disappoint their need to know.

Good read as a sequel. Very likable characters, old and new. But if you haven't read the previous book,or if it's been awhile since you read the previous book, following the accident (attempted murder) and rehab is a bit confusing. Would be great to read them back to back.

Enjoyed the quirky characters and humor in this mystery novel. The cultural and historical details about Kentucky made this book much more than a really, really good mystery (which it certainly is)

Excellent read. Have devoured the whole series now. Finally, a protagonist in my age range who is fascinating. Love the glimpses of history offered throughout, and well known Southern customs. Well written, interesting characters who sometimes resemble people I know . Makes you want to become a beekeeper, sit on the porch and sip a mint julep.

Recovering from a fall that almost killed her doesn't stop Josiah Reynolds from helping a friend look into the death of a 15-yr old boy who apparently drowned. But did he actually drown by accident or was he murdered? It is up to Josiah to find out as she navigates the twists and turns of the second book in the series.
