I’ve gotten in contact with God at last. This volume contains books nine and ten (out of twelve) of the never flagging Death Note series. Well, guess what? This edition is just as great as the previous; main characters die, new characters show up, I continue to be fascinated by the whole thing. The story begins to open up a bit in scope as Kira bends the whole world to his will, while choosing a new spokesperson and second Kira. I can see this is all building towards something. Sadly, my favorite shinigami, Sidoh, decides to go home after he gets his death note back, oh well. Want more evidence of how great Obata is? Check out his drawing of Demegawa having a heart attack on page 272 - Ouch! What an impressive work this series is!
