I won't spoil anything, but once again Death Note continues to shock. While everyone secretly saw this coming, I very much doubted the creators actually going through with it. In the long run, this particular twist, while very much inevitable in order for the plot to continue, was a mistake. And after this, Death Note has a hard time making up for it, but keeps it together long enough to create a truly immaculate story. Still one of my favorites.

Death Note is definitely one of the most original ideas thought of. It's my favorite book ever now, and I question the IQ of the author - she must be a genius to figure out how to write this series.
