I love this author. But as usual, he does have a bout of writers' diarrhea. This book should have been weeded out a bit more, shortend some more. Still, it was a great read & with his usual twists, turns, & shocking revelations, despite the length, you find yourself staying up late into the night, eager for more.

I'm a loyal reader of this saga, without being bias I can say the book has it ups and downs, and the story is very fast paced, in some instances too fast. But I can say is not boring. Like I said, I'm loyal so I'm reading all the books.

I totally disagree with the previous review. I thought the series just kept getting better with each novel. The villians in this series are of the highest caliber as are the heroes and this second enstallment in the series furthers the story of both. I have only read as far as the fourth book but so far they are great. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes a sci-fi that pulls no punches and can hold your attention for all 500+ pages of each book!
