ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book and my opinions are honest! Dana Marton is a new author for me I am so glad that I took a chance. Once I started reading the book, I could not put it down. The action + romance complimented each other. I liked the twist in the end. Kudos to Dana Marton!

Kate Bridges is on the run. She saw the man who killed her friend .. a man who is a huge in a world of unsavory dealings. Before the FBI had identified the killer, there was an attempt on Kate's life. Changing her looks, her name, she winds up in Broslin Creek working as a waitress. Murphy Dolan, a former cop, has survived his time in Afghanistan and looking forward to going home. Surprise! When he enters his home, he finds a strange woman in his bed brandishing a gun. Murphy and Kate start out on the wrong foot, but she manages to tell him why she's on the run. Being a red-blooded male, his protective feelings come to the forefront and he will do whatever necessary to keep her from being killed. But someone already knows where she is. Murphy and Kate are terrific characters. The two of them have issues .. her's is trust and his is PTSD. He's also a bit on the controlling side. Kate is a strong woman. She's had to be in order to survive her traumatic childhood and now running from a cold-blooded killer. Broslin Creek is a fairly small town in Pennsylvania ... a place where everyone knows everyone else .... but then again maybe not. Suspense builds until the explosive ending. The book is very well written. The characters are believable. Lots of sexual tension. This is the second book I've read from this author. Although a series, each book is a stand-alone. For anyone who likes Romantic Suspense, you need to give this author a try. My thanks to the author and her assistant who furnished a digital copy in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

A Wild Thrill Ride! Kate Bridges thought attending her own funeral would be the hardest part.... DEATHWATCH by Dana Marton is a fast-paced, action-packed story that made it hard for me to breathe more times than I could count. It teems with hot, sexy romance and gripping suspense. It's the first book in the author's awesome Broslin Creek series and the only one of the books available in audio at the time I listened to it. It takes place over a span of just a few days and was an excellent listen; I ate it up! ... If I had any complaint about the book at all, it was that the ending left Kate and Murph's story partially unresolved. I'm thrilled to report that in Broslin Creek book #5, BROSLIN BRIDE: GONE AND DONE IT, DEATHWATCH garners its own better-than satisfactory closure in the Epilogue. What a wonderful surprise that was! It was perfection! I'm happy dancing all over the place!!!!! Thank you, Dana! So... don't lose faith and think that Dana will leave Murph and Kate's story hanging... Just keep reading the series - Each book has been a treat. You'll be so glad you did! ... My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. . 5 Wine Glasses!

This book grabs you right away with Katherine Concord watching her own funeral! Kate saw her friend be assassinated and the assassin saw her so is chasing her. Kate is working with the FBI to catch the criminal so she fakes her death hoping this will lead the authorities to him.  When that doesn't work, Kate runs away, ending up renting Murphy Dolan's house. But he doesn't know his brother has rented it to her so when he comes home from deployment, he finds Kate in his bed! When she wakes up to see a half naked man in her bedroom, she's terrified. This story starts out great and just keeps getting better. Both Kate and Murph have had difficult pasts but they deal with everything.  They don't get along at all at first and Murphy just wants Kate out of his house. But Kate can't go anywhere in case the assassin finds her.  I loved the way they finally get to know each other and work together to keep Kate safe.  The character development was so well done that I felt I knew them. Kate is an intelligent, strong woman who handles what life throws at her calmly and Murphy thinks it is his duty to look after everyone and protect them. Deathwatch is a wonderfully written suspenseful book with romance tossed in making it so gripping that you won't want to put it down. That's how I felt when I read it but at the same time, I did't want it to end.  Can't win this one. I highly recommend Deathwatch. I liked it so much that I already bought the next Broslin Creek book.

Captivating Story of Broslin Creek This is my first read or should I say listen… of one of Author Dana Marton’s books and I absolutely loved the premise of the story.  I was captivated by the suspense through the story.  Also, this is the first audio that was narrated by Talmadge Ragan.  Her narration added to the story in my opinion.  I really enjoyed reading this story and looking forward to listening or reading the rest of the Broslin Creek book series and other books by Dana Marton.

From line one I was instantly drawn to the heroine, Kate Bridges. She's smart, but man, is she in trouble. An assassin is out for her blood and the only way she can disappear is by leaving her adoptive family behind. Great stakes. Really makes me like the heroine knowing how much her family means to her and how much she wants to protect them by faking her own death. So many authors use the "abused as a child/in an abusive relationship" trope that I've really been burned out by it. However, Marton does exactly what I've been hoping every other romance author would come around to: she made her heroine at peace with her past. In fact, I think it made her stronger. Kate kept her wits about her because she wasn't easily fooled. As for Murph... *drool*. He is the epitome of Alpha male and I loved every second of him on the page. He has issues, granted from his past as well, but I was hoping for a little more resolution for them in this book. PTSD isn't cured overnight, but I would've liked to have seen Kate help him out. Unfortunately, this book is only part of Murph and Kate's story, but I definitely look forward to the rest of the series.

This was the first book I have read by Dana Marton but it won't be the last. The action starts on the first page and doesn't stop till the last page. I loved that I couldn't  figure out who was after Katy. I was so surprised but will  not give it away - what's the fun in that. I highly recommend Deathwatch

No one can keep grab you from the very first page and keep you on the edge of you seat like Dana Marton. I knew from the beginning this was going to be an excellent read, how can it not when it starts out with Katy watching her own funeral. I can’t even imagine setting there watching my family at my own funeral knowing until the bad man is caught they will have to live with the pain of my death. Knowing they will face many years of memories, of birthday, Christmas remembering the good times as they shed tears and not knowing how many more years you have to go before you can be with them again. This is one of those books that nothing but nothing is going to come between you and finishing it until the end. Katy is on the run for her life she is the only person who saw a murder he killed her best friend and he wants her dead. She has been running for 18 months why a killer is on her tail watching and waiting to end her life. No one can helper her not even the FBI could stop the van she was in from being blown up. Thank God she saw that coming and got out before she was blown up in it. She trusts no one, she knows something about running it is the only thing that has worked for her in the past. She runs, she runs for her life. She has changed her the length and color of her hair, gains weight, even changed the shape of eyebrows along with so many name changes at it new place she calls home for a few months. Her last stop is Broslin Creek where she will make her stand or die doing it with the help of Murphy. Murphy is in the Army Reserves has been hurt in the line of duty. He turns home to find a hot little red head in his bed (The author puts so much into this scene you will chuckle you won’t be able to stop yourself). Murphy must keep Katy safe but Katy doesn’t trust him heck at first he doesn’t trust her and the sparks fly between the two and never stop in this fast pace action filled romance. The author did a nice job hiding who is the killer and after Katy. I found I had a few people picked out only to change my mind just to change it again. Nice job Dana you sure know how to write a story. After reading two of this author’s book I doubt I will find anything she writes that I won’t love to read. I honestly can’t tell you anymore without giving the book away just take my word for it you will want to read this book. As always with Dana’s books are filled with wonderful characters who you will love and want to know more about. You won’t want the story to end, it does end in a type of cliffhanger but it is one I can live with. The good news is both Katy and Murphy will come up again in a later book. I can’t wait to see them and read the rest of their story. I honestly can’t wait to read the rest of the series. This authors writing style is out of this world with just enough romance, thrills and suspense to keep you coming back for more. I find this book believable and highly recommend it to any ready who wants a fast pace, action suspense.

DEATHWATCH (Broslin Creek) by Dana Martin. This is the third novel in the series and I so want to go back and read them all again from front to back. I felt such a let down when I finished and there wasn't more to read. The story was fresh and so creative, I am in awe of Dana Marton's power of the written word!! Dana makes it seem so easy and yet I know she sweats blood while writing. The story line? The heroine is on the run from an assassin that killed her friend and now he wants to kill her too. The FBI failed to keep her safe so she trusts no one until she met Murph, he also has trust issues and together they manage to save each other. Believe me you need to read this book it is fantastic!!
