I am now into my 70's and thought I would always be reading books made of paper. Surprise! Now I'm reading by NOOK as well - and I like it. For one thing I can browse through a giant library of e-books and rediscover books I read ages ago. Deathworld by Harry Harrison is one of them. I first read it 50 years ago and liked it just as well today. I recommend it highly to all sci fi fans.

Nice easy sci-fi read, but a little long. In some places it's slow, and it seems to drag sometimes, but it has a lot of action. Not the best sci-fi I've ever read, but pretty good. There is a sequel, Deathworld 2 or The Ethical Engineer. The plot is fairly believable, as are the characters. The 'psi' (psychic) abilities of some of the characters add a nice touch. The element of nature against man os intresting, although somewhat undeveloped.
