Publishers Weekly

An emeritus professor of theology with no previous interest in conspiracy theories, Griffin has dedicated himself since 2003 to the "9/11 truth" movement, a group committed to "exposing the falsity of the official theory about 9/11," and this book is a thorough, highly detailed attempt to do just that. As Griffin aptly notes, "the assumption that conspiracy theories are inherently irrational" has recently taken root in American culture, making any attack on the official government record instantly dismissible, but Griffin takes to the difficult task with solid reasoning and true zeal. All but the most dogmatic readers will find Griffin's evidence-from the inconsistencies between NORAD tapes and the 9/11 Commission Reportto rigorous exploration into the physics of the collapse-detailed and deeply unnerving. For instance, Griffin considers the fact that firefighters were told, five hours before the fact, that building WTC 7 was going to collapse, despite "the fact that WTC 7 was not hit by a plane, that the available photographs show no large fires, and that fire had never caused a steel frame high rise to collapse." Another chilling passage looks at the Pennsylvania crash site of United Airlines flight 93 through the testimony of those first to arrive, who were unanimous in finding "no recognizable plane parts, no body parts." For anyone who doubts the government's truthfulness regarding the WTC terrorist attack, this well-researched volume will give you a troughful of ideas to chew on. (June)

I believed almost everything that popular mechanics said, until they failed to explain one thing.....the symmetrical collapse and collapse speed of building 7. I just couldnt wrap my mind around that, and that put me back on the fence of not knowing what the Heck to believe

Many thanks to Doctor Ray Griffin for his outstanding work on 9/11. This book is essential to all especially the people who are blinded by official lies and blatant untruths propagated by Popular mechanics 'journalism'.

Nobody who reads this book will look at 9/11,and our goverment the same way again. Dr Ray Griffin shows us all the lies, and incompotence of what happened on that fatefull day. A MUST READ!

David Ray Griffin has probably written more than anyone about the events of 9/11. He is a very careful scholar and takes a methodical approach to his subject. You will find no wild speculation, no unsupported assertions. Every thing he writes is backed up by documentation including nearly 800 footnotes '60 pages worth'. The book is divided into 4 sections: * Section 1: Is about the NORAD audio tapes released in 2006. Griffin demonstrated that the tapes contradict hundreds of previous statements made on the record. * Section 2: Is a critique of Kean/Hamilton's recent book, Without Precedent, which Griffin shows is self contradictory and not in agreement with the 9/11 commission report. * Section 3: Covers the 'official' NIST report which Griffin shows deliberately fails to look at the heart of the question was controlled demolition used to bring down the towers and building 7. Griffin concludes that it was. The NIST report does not refute this, it simply fails to even address that question by, as Griffin shows, assuming in advance the conclusion. * Section 4: DRG addresses the Popular Mechanics magazine articles. The first point to be said is that Popular Mechanics is not a scholarly publication it is not scientific, it is not peer-reviewed. The second thing to be said is that head of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff's cousin was the lead author of the Pop Mech piece. 'nuf said. Griffin's book proves what didn't happen on 9/11 (i.e.'the official story') but you have to read Tarpley to find out what did.

This is an excellent book for those appealing to reason and logic to explain the issues surrounding the so-called ¿9/11 myths.¿ That the editorial staff of Popular Mechanics authors of ¿Debunking 9/11 Myths¿' and the research staff of NIST 'National Institute of Science and Technology' have responded with silence to Dr. Griffin¿s request for an open public debate on the issues of 9/11 comes as no surprise. Griffin proves through meticulous detail that their arguments against, for example, the disintegration of WTC 1, 2, & 7, are without merit -- most especially on the level of simple high school physics. Highly recommended!

This book continues to feed bad information and opinions as "facts". It is hard for me to understand how any educated person would believe this author is presenting anything except bias and political fodder.

Interesting ideas and theories but not back up by anyone with a degree in engineering or fire science. If you want to waste time reading a book written by someone without a degree I would recommend Twilight at least their fiction is somewhat tolerable.
