Overview

Christian author Warren Smith's book Deceived on Purpose warns about the serious implications of Pastor Rick Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Life. Smith takes the reader into the inner working of today's evangelical world as he explains the questionable interconnections of Christian and New Age leaders, and the possibility of Rick Warren's Peace Plan merging with the New Age Peace Plan. Smith contends that New Age sympathizer Robert Schuller has had a great influence on Rick Warren's teachings and that Schuller's influence can be found in Rick Warren's book, The Purpose Driven Life. Smith was a former New Age follower and he draws from his knowledge of the New Age subculture that is being subtly weaved into the Christian culture.

The most deadly deception is the one closest to the truth! I can only describe the brilliant exposure of this 'virus' as 'Holy-Spirit-inspired'! The information revealed in this timely 'watchman-warning' (Ezekiel 33 verse 6!) MUST reach everyone, lest he or she perhaps be deceived into following false teachings! I pray that every Bible-believing Christian would distribute just five copies of this book; it might mean spiritual survival and eternal life for many! (John 8 verse 32: '...and the truth will set you free.')

I am thankful for teachers like Warren who have been there- and been rescued by GOD to help others who are trapped in the false religions. The "purpose driven life" is based on one mans "idea" of what the Bible says and not on what the actual Bible says.

This is a must read book. The Author does an excellent job of exposing the new age philosphy that has crept into Rick Warren and Robert Shuller's Ministries. Everyone should read the book and order extras to pass onto to family and friends. My copy has already passed thru 6+ readers.

I dislike this book because the book tells lies about God's Word. I like the purpose driven life better. I have read about this book. It takes time to understand the purpose driven life, because people do not take serious by what God says by what it says word for word in the Bible. This it means the same any bible without the interpretation of people.
