The irresistible, blazing-hot sequel to New York Times bestselling author Molly McAdams's Forgiving Lies

Rachel is supposed to be planning her wedding to Kash, the love of her life. After the crazy year they've had, she's ready to settle down and live a completely normal life. Well, as normal as it can be. But there's something else waiting—something threatening to tear them apart.

Kash is ready for it all with Rachel, especially if "all" includes having a football team of babies with his future wife. In his line of work, Kash knows how short life can be and doesn't want to waste another minute of their life together. But now his past as an undercover narcotics agent has come back to haunt him . . . and it's the girl he loves who's caught in the middle.

Trent Cruz's orders are clear: take the girl. But there's something about this girl that has him changing the rules and playing a dangerous game to keep her safe. When his time as Rachel's protector runs out, Trent will turn his back on the only life he's known—and risk everything if it means getting her out alive.

Before I get started this is Book 2, please please please read Forgiving lies prior to this!

This book was AHH-Mazing in my particular opinion.  The suspense was great, really from start to finish i can honestly say i was always anticipating something.
It starts out just prior to the events that happen at the end of Forgiving lies.  I love the overlap, i needed to know from Rachel's point of view what happened.
Kash shows us again why we love him, he has a tremendous heart and acts on his emotions.  Which at times isn’t His best trait thats for sure but there is no denying his love for rachel and the extent he is willing to go for her.  We get to see into Kash’s prior world of undercover.  The people he lived and blended with. The culture and cutthroat world that forced him to leave before, the reason he met Rachel, and now they have taken her from him.
Kash gets pulled from the case at the very beginning, Mason however is not and he is the main intel for Kash as he is working on his own behind the scenes trying to make his own breaks into where his soon to be wife is being held captive.
The Plot Thickens… with a New Character.  I Knew, KNEW KNEW KNEW from the first time we met him (well he speaks but you don’t know its him yet) that I was gonna give him a chance, that there was more to him than what he was doing.   I will let you make your own opinion but I fell in love with Trent little by little and fell right into the L-Puddle at the end.  In life we are all predisposed to a certain way of life, I wonder what Trents life would be had he not been born into what he was.
Kash and Rachel just don’t get it easy, which is probably why they are such a great couple.  Nothing makes you stronger than butting heads and fighting, because that shows honesty for your feelings and that you have a passion for your beliefs.

I love reading books that make you ‘feel’ with each character, Molly does just that.  The panic, the anticipation the despair, the hope and the confusion and the love and the passion.
And then you have Mr. Aloof Mason… I love mason he is like that guy in the dating world who is great and would be the best catch but he just isn’t catchable.

This book gets 5 stars out of 5 stars from me. It started out bringing you up to speed with the last book and ends well, no cliff hangers but totally open for more from these characters!

I was given an ARC for an Honest review.

My favorite thing about this book was the nicknames for Rachel and Trent. I loved every single time Kash called Rachel SourPatch, too cute!
And it tickled my funny bone that Trent resembled actor, Taylor Lautner and was thus dubbed Taylor by Rachel until she discovered his real name.

The story of Rachel’s abduction and reunion with Kash was well told, even though I didn’t enjoy the dark overtones or the length of time the two spent the story apart. I prefer main characters to spend the bulk of a novel interacting together. I was really glad that author, Molly McAdams gave Kash and Rachel a significant reunion period and included a very satisfying epilogue.

I write reviews to help authors, but Molly McAdams doesn¿t need

I write reviews to help authors, but Molly McAdams doesn’t need the help. I’ve come to the conclusion that this woman CANNOT write a bad book. After the epilogue in Forgiving Lies, I was surprised that DL didn’t jump right into the story. But that disappointment (for lack of a better word) quickly faded as we were able to get a glance into Rachel and Kash’s life after she moved to Florida. My heart broke for both of them while she was “away”. That girl had already been through enough and I was amazed at how strong she was. I couldn’t even imagine how Kash felt knowing there was nothing he could do. One of the things I like most about Molly’s books is how real they feel. The stories build and aren’t rushed. When characters suffer a loss or go through something traumatic, they actually grieve. They grieve so much that you can feel it and it takes longer than two pages. This sequel is just as good as the first and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

The second in the series and what an interesting start.  The story began before the first one ended (which ended on quite the cliffhanger!), I loved this!  There was a convenient gap at the end of the first book and the author also used both characters to fill in the gap.

Another feature I loved was the addition of a third narrator - I can't reveal who it is as I would be taking away from the experience, but I loved the addition of his voice to round out the story.  I was taken aside by it, but loved it!

    Great book

This was a great read, maybe even better than the first book. The dialogue was true to each character's personality, and while the plot develops and there are surprises, there were no weird, unrealistic twists. Very talented author.
