"Decorating with Flowers is a treasure chest of beautiful settings, stunning photography, and outstanding floral decor...a wonderful orchestration by all-Filipino authors and floral artists!"—Phil Rulloda, AIFD, AAF, CFA, PFCI

"So much imagination goes into these floral decorations that some of it can't help but rub off onto the reader. That for me is what makes a good inspirational book. You will find yourself going back to this book again and again, each time discovering something new."—Sensible Gardening

Library Journal
Creative director Caballero and Reyes (The Tropical House: Cutting Edge Design in the Philippines) showcase in 32 Philippine homes sophisticated floral designs created with a Western and Japanese influence by ten professional floral stylists. The authors explain the use of flowers in Philippine culture and the development of the floral industry; however, the highlights here are Tettoni's over 300 color photographs of floral arrangements that include many traditional flowers, such as mums, asparagus ferns, and gerberas. VERDICT Recommended for those interested in modern floral and interior design, the traditional use of flowers in Philippine culture, and the history of the country's floral industry.

    Dazzling!

"Decorating with Flowers" offers a dazzling display of Filipino ingenuity. The central theme is the creative use of the country's abundance of year-round tropical flora, its color, texture and unique forms. Floral sculptures employ ornamental fruits, vegetables, unusual vases, dried pods and inventive applications of other native materials. Also incorporated are local and indigenous craft, fine art and architecture, all arranged with objects from around the world.
Reading "Decorating with Flowers" has inspired me to look with fresh eyes in my own (non-tropical) garden for non-traditional uses of plants and to spice up my usual and tired habits of arranging flowers.
    Nancy Pobanz
