This is one of my Top 5 books of all time. Thank you very much. May be the Nook Edition will survive longer than the many many trade paperbacks I've owned of this particular book :)

    Must Read

Love this book. Elizabeth Moon knows how to make you feel what the characters feel. She makes a world as complex and complicated as our own. Read it 4 times in the last 20 years, just keeps getting better. Paksenarrion is what a real hero is. Like all heroes she starts out earger and naive. Its the over coming of adversity in the drama, anguish, and fighting that creates this remarkable unforgettable person. Just have to read it.

This is the third time I have read this book. This is epic fantasy done right. It is a rich storyline with a cast of fabulous characters, easily remembered. Thick with adventure, I know that I will continue to return to this book time and time again.
