Each time the boy appears, Sadie’s unexplainable attraction to him deepens along with her need to unravel his secrets. The boy is there to protect her, but as wonderful and exciting as it might be to have an irresistible boy with crystal green eyes protecting her every move, every minute of the day...why does Sadie need one? As Sadie finds answers, she realizes her life isn’t as perfect as she thought. Not only is she caught in a world of dangerous secret agents she never knew existed, but it turns out her true identity may be the greatest secret of all.

Although this book is a paranormal romance it was nothing like I expected! I thought it was very refreshing to read something totally different than the other paranormal romances I have read. Sadie is what every young girl should want to be and the relationship she has with her mother is wonderful. Rayne seems like the perfect guy, he is HOT and caring and thoughtful...yet he has a secret or two. One thing I really enjoyed about the book was that it was a clean book. It didn't have teens doing things that they really shouldn't be doing. I loved the mystery and can't wait for book 2!! I highly recommend this easy read.

After buying this book, I delayed reading it for a good two months. I just had no interest. Finally, today I started it, expecting to be bored and instead read the whole thing in one sitting! This book was absolutely great and only got better as it progressed. Immediately I looked up the next book and was saddened to see it doesn't come out until spring. The characters are well developed and I found myself loving her relationship with her mom and friends as much as with Rayne, and that is very rare for me! I can't wait for the next book; the pages of this seemed to fly by and the secrets that are revealed in the final chapter had me desperate for more!

This book is absolutely wonderful; the author has done a great job with creating a fun romantic adventure which is clean. I love the chemistry between Rayne and Sadie. You must read this, and you will not be disappointed.

Anderson offers a creative alternate world that will give a readers a relax from the the typical paranormal story. Admittedly, I found found this book slightly frustrating. While I loved the characters, and could see the potential growing through this book; it was obvious that the climax was not going to be reached in this particular book. Sadie is a very special and down to earth character that readers will enjoy. This mystery of her past will keep readers guessing with this easy paced story. The alternate world that Anderson has previewed throughout the book still remains a mystery holding my attraction to this story. My overall impression of this read is a enjoyable and imaginative read.

What a fun & intriguing story! I really enjoyed it! Sadie James is the lovable girl next door I love to read about. The playfulness the author gives to Sadie really brings her to life in this novel where everything isn't as perfect as it seems. Rayne is the dreamy boy with amazing eyes that draw you in! With him comes a whole other world of suspense & danger. I live in the area that the author places the story & the descriptions are spot on! It's so fun to read a story like that, just like some of the Dean Koontz books. The author's descriptions of everything from the local hospital to our beautiful beaches was great, I could really imagine Sadie living in a nearby neighborhood! I'm so intrigued by the concept & the things that start happening to Sadie. I want to read more about Sadie & Rayne, the world that Rayne comes from, & the adventures they have together! I can't wait to see how it unfolds in the rest of the series! A great, fun read for sure!

Wow, this book was pretty darn good. WoW is a word I would use for sure. I never read a book like this before. With the Water Keepers and Healing Waters, which is a new concept for me, and I loved it. At the end of this book I am still a little in the dark on what exactly a Water Keeper is, I mean I know what they do, but are they even human? Or even from here? Not sure. Seems there must be another world they are from, but again, not sure. I am sure book 2 will tell more. Sadie was a good character, she did at times get on my nerves, but as the ending came I was able to understand why she was that way at times, it was not her fault. Rayne I absolutely adored, what a great guy, and hot too. Lol. He was so good to Sadie and was there for her. There bond is strong, and I was hating she was fighting it so hard. Here is a part showing the strong feelings There was a long, heavy pause. I waited breathlessly for his response. His glowing eyes met mine and their radiance hypnotized me. I could see nothing else. I felt it again, the unexplainable connection between us. Time slowed. I inched towards him, wishing for his lips on mine. His hand lifted gently to my waist, sending a thrill through me in every direction. Never before had I felt the desire to kiss someone so fervently, the divine first kiss I’d always dreamed of. I really loved how we have alternating point of views in this book, from Sadie, to Rayne, even Ash and Voss some of the time. I won’t say anything to spoil the story, but want to say, the last part sure had me on the edge of my seat, and I loved the ending. I was glad at least one answer was addressed and I was glad I was right in that one, I guessed it right, lol. Not telling you what that question is, curious if everyone guesses it correct. I really loved the sweet relationship Sadie has with her mom, and I think more YA books need that, it seems so many of them alienate the parents, and I think that is wrong. Sadie’s mom is a great person, who is so good, and caring. I was sad to hear her story and the pain she went through. I highly recommend this book to the young and old. There are great underlying messages in this too. It’s written very well too. I can’t wait to dig into book 2 Rogue Wave. 5 out of 5 stars for me. I was provided a copy of this book for my honest review..

I loved how there were different points of views from different characters, and there was great character development. I liked the dynamic of the book, my favorite thing about the book was it was not generalized, its relate-able to anybody from any generation or any background, so you could relate to any character. I loved this book, and can not wait for the second book.

I loved the character development and the overall mystery behind Rayne. The story had me captivated and kept me wanting more. The book was an entertaining read and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to read something with a new theme, other than vampires and werewolves. The author has done a great job introducing you to some cool characters and I can not wait to see what adventures lie ahead for Sadie and Rayne. Go and get it NOW!!! Christie Anderson is an author to keep your eye on. The book was written for teenagers in mind, but I think the book has a way of captivating people of all ages and gender.

I grant that I am not the intended teenage audience, but this book is so awful, I am not sure if I can finish it. "Gee, my name is Sadie and my life is so perfect! But why do I feel sad all the time? Why do I feel empty inside? What changes are happening to me? Why do I have a continuous and repetitive inner monologue asking rhetorical questions?" Just terrible writing and a boring heroine to boot. YA lit does not mean it has to be written on a second grade level. It might be free, but I can't recommend it. Spend your time on something more interesting, folks.

This book is great the plot is good but be prepared to beg for the second book. It is a great fictional CLEAN teen book. I highly recommend it.

I was unable to really feel the connection between the characters. The story felt fragmented and frankly dull.

Just had to pass the first 100 pages for it to get good. But after you are hooked. <3

There's a lot of slow parts but it gets better. I found myself skimming through some parts because I thought it was pointless. I already read the second book and I'm sure the third book that's coming soon will be the best so far. Major cliff hanger in the second book!
