If you are into the blues, you will enjoy this book. Palmer is a knowledgeable musician and ethnomusicologist who reveals the musical roots of the blues. A deep treasure trove of personal and cultural histories of seminal blues artists from the Mississippi Delta that formed the basis for the Chicago, Memphis, and St. Louis styles that were very much the roots of rock and roll.
