    Tell me some Tales!

This is Glover's second book. The writing style has improved drastically compared to his first book, 'Cave Life in France'. Although, it was a bit disappointing to find some excerpts from his first book simply transferred to this book. The format has also changed from that of a journal-style to one of pure narration. I walked away with the feeling that I knew more about a certain region in France, The Loire Valley, than I had previously known. I definately found out a lot about wine and too much about slaughtering pigs. It felt as though the last thirty pages, or so, were filler. Nonetheless, I'm glad I read the book and will look forward to the third book which promises to be out soon and is rumored to be about the pilgrimage trail which should prove itself to be quite interesting and entertaining. The one thing about Glover's books is that I kept wanting to finish them. I am like most people: I pick up a book and never finish it. Even though Glover's writing is a little rough - much less so in his second book - I have finished his books. There is something about them which draws the reader in. So if you aren't looking for perfection, but rather an easy read about the lives of some simple folks living out their dreams you will probably enjoy this book!
