EXCERPT:

I was absolutely sure that I knew what was just about to happen. I wasn’t the sort of girl who usually lets it happen, but today I felt differently. I was up for a one-afternoon stand with this beautiful man, and I wasn’t waiting for the third date. My body had chosen for me already. I just needed to go along for the ride.

“Let me freshen up,” I told him.

The bathroom in this hotel was a work of beauty. I stripped out of my business clothes and got completely naked. If this was going to happen, I was really going for it. I wrapped myself in one of the extra-fluffy white robes, and peeked shyly out the door.

Damien rustled through his suitcase when I emerged wearing only the robe. He had his back to me. I noticed he’d put on a new shirt, and I thought that was funny since I was just going to take it off of him again.

“I know this little coffee place around the corner, and I was thinking it might be fun to go get a cup. If you want, that is.” Then he turned around and spotted me in the robe. I could see the shock register on his face. I felt the blood rush to mine.

“Oh,” I mumbled, blushing furiously, realizing that I had completely misread the situation. I started to back away, then turned to flee back into the bathroom. How had I completely miffed this? He’d invited me to his room. I assumed he wanted me. Oh, God, I was mortified.

Then I sensed the warmth of him right behind me. He smelled like the ocean.

I leaned back into him, and he wrapped one hand gently around my waist. It slipped into my robe, soft against the nakedness of my belly. He smelled my hair. I could feel the bulge of his desire pressing into me.

“I see what you’ve got in mind,” he whispered.

He turned me gently. I was so embarrassed that I couldn’t look him in the face. But he gently tilted my chin up so that I peered into his eyes.

“Is this happening?” he asked. I put my hand over his, felt myself warming for him.

He gazed down at me with his sparkling green eyes and I felt myself melting again, my inhibitions of a moment ago forgotten. His eyes captured me. I couldn’t look away, like a doe caught in the bright lights of a car.

“Stephanie, you look beautiful,” he said to me. He didn’t need to say anything else. I didn’t know anything about this man, but already he had me. Nobody called me Stephanie, but on Damien’s lips it sounded like my true name.

    Fantastically hot and sexy

Stephanie and Damien's story was hot and sexy. These love at first sight and happily ever after things do happen in real life...I'm living proof. Great read!

    Sweet and Very Sexy

I loved this story. I'm always looking for reads that are explicit but where the lovers actually act like they love each other. This little book delivered on both! Can't wait for another.

4.50 STARS ...This was a very short and sexy erotic read. Stephanie and Damien steamed up the pages with their instant attraction and bedroom aerobics when they met at the conference. It's my first time reading the author's work and I can easily say, I'm interested in seeing what else Ms. Connor has to offer. Just to warn you the book is very graphic and explicit so if that isn't to your liking then you probably won't like it.

Stephanie is allergic to commitments, as well as a dating slump. Every time she starts getting close to a guy, she sabotages the relationship. So all she has left is her work and that's where her time is spent. Her mother thinks she needs to date and find Mr. right before someone else scoops him up. Her boss wants her to go to a technology conference and she is adamant in going but she does. While at the conference she is struck with attraction at first sight with Damien. She thinks Damien is the hot, gorgeous and out of her league guy that she only dreams about. Damien is very much into Stephanie, so much so that he went in search of her after the conference. After these two met, it pretty much got steamy, like glass foggy steamy.

This story was told in a narrative aspect, which sometimes annoy me because I feel like I'm snooping at someone's diary. But it got better for me the more I read. At first I wasn't sure where the story was leading to, but when both characters met it surely took of for me. I have to say the bathroom scene, when she thought he wanted her to get naked was sooo embarrassing heheh but it was fun to read. Damien was really sweet for me in this read. He was charming, cute, sexy and vulnerable. I like a guy sometimes in my reading who isn't afraid to show his soft side and vulnerable side. He was just that guy that makes you melt. I love the ending that was really really really cute what he did.

    Storyline:FAIR
    Intimacy: GOOD ( D.R.I.P) = Don't Read In Public.
    Enjoyment: GOOD

    fun and sexy

Pretty simple plot in this one: love at first sight winds up in the bedroom. Basically just a fun, sexy romp. Gave it five stars because the price is right, it made for a fun evening and was totally worth the money.
