I have a small library of astronomy books, and this one stands out for quality of photography. Printed on good glossy stock, the book is heavy, and large but worthy of frequent review. Incorporated in the photo categories are succinct summaries of the pics along with thier significance. A standard textbook would cover the material with long text and math.
