Overview

Beverly Hills, 90210's Jennie Garth shares her life experiences both on screen and off in this humorous and heartwarming memoir...

“Revealing myself in these pages has been at times terrifying, but also one of the most liberating experiences of my life.…”

In this candid and intimate memoir, Jennie Garth explores the highs and lows of her life, both in front of the camera and behind closed doors, revealing the joys and sorrows, successes and failures that have made her one unforgettable Hollywood blonde.

From her rise to fame as a golden-haired teen beauty, to redefining herself as a single working mother, Jennie Garth has defied the odds and thrived in a town that can be more than a little tough on its blondes. Since Jennie landed in Hollywood at just sixteen, she has built an enduring career as a television and film actress, producer, and director, beginning with her iconic turn as Kelly Taylor on Aaron Spelling’s smash hit Beverly Hills, 90210, a show that ran for a decade and that cemented Jennie’s place in American pop culture.

Recently, Jennie found herself facing her forties from a place she never expected to be in: newly single, in demand again as an actress after years spent focusing on her family, and all over the tabloids. With candor and a bawdy sense of humor, this is the real Jennie Garth—smart, funny, and stronger than she ever realized.

I've been a fan of Jennie Garth since her 90210 days. I appreciated her candor in her book. Her stories are interesting and at times very funny. Great book!

She seems full of sh__ to me. She contradicts herself quite a few times and has inaccurate 90210 facts on time sequence.  This makes you wonder: How much of this is true?

When one thinks of a Hollywood blonde you don’t expect a lot of wisdom. That’s not the case here though! Deep Thoughts from a Hollywood Blonde is a very entertaining book. From the first page to the last, Jennie Garth shoots from the heart, whether it’s sharing tales of good times or tales of sorrow.

From the minute I opened the cover I was intrigued by Jennie's honesty and humility. Jennie shoots straight from the heart, I laughed with her, I cried with her, I felt like I was right there next to her through her ups and downs. She delivers like a seasoned author. Whether you are an long time fan or a new fan, this is one you do not want to miss. After reading the book you will understand that Jennie is not only a beautiful woman on the outside, she is just as beautiful on the inside!

I started reading this book about 5 months ago, and I found it so boring that I stopped reading it. A few days ago I was looking for a book to read on a Sunday afternoon and suddenly remembered I had "unfinished business" with this book.  So I picked it up again…I have to tell you that I was a HUGE fan of Jennie Garth on 90210. To tell you the truth, I have not watched anything else she's appeared in :-/ So I have to agree with another reviewer and say that the short chapters she dedicated to talking about 90210 were interesting but left me wanting to know more.  Also, she talks about being pregnant with her first child Luca Bella, "during season 6 or 7" and having to go on set and act like a bubbly high school teenager while hiding her growing bump. That is very inaccurate! In season 6 they were not in high school anymore, they were in college! So in short,  as a die-hard 90210 fan, I was disappointed that she couldn't even remember (or at least do a little research for her book) when she did what.

I definitely recommend reading this book if you like biographies and are fans of hers. Very well written and a deep look into her life all the highs and lows. I'll even read this book again!!

I expected a lot more written on 90210. After all, that's how most of the world knows her. She talks on 90210, but there's way too much about her life and her kids. You get quite a bit about Jennie, but not much on 90210. It's OK, but nothing great.

I like it, I grew up watching her on TV and found out a lot about her that I didn't know about.
