“I really enjoy the books by Jens Bangsbo and Birger Peitersen. They contain the right level of discussion, examples, and practical drills; and are easy to follow and refer to when developing training sessions. They are my books of choice and I recommend them to others who are interested in learning about the game and coaching young players. They have helped me immensely.”

    informative and easy to follow

Describes each defensive drill in words and diagrams in a brief but thorough manner. Emphasizes the purpose of each drill in clear language. Each section begins with individual drills and moves to multiple player drills and maneuvers. Helped me to gain a greater appreciation for the theoretical side of the game and to understand the various defensive concepts in world football. Highly recommended!
