It's no secret that I'm a great admirer of Cidney Swanson's world-building ... Defying Mars is a thrilling continuation of the Saving Mars Series. The elaborate world established in the first book is further defined; the characters continue to grow and become more lifelike; and the phenomenal plotting keeps the reader turning the pages. I'm so thankful the third book is already on my e-reader, because I cannot wait to read it.

The sequel is even better than the first! It was so addicting to read! There were a lot of parts where I was holding my breath in anticipation. This book is not for the faint of heart!The romance...was a bit more prevalent in this book than the first. In Saving Mars, the romance had not yet blossomed, which is definitely not a bad thing, but it was nice to read about Pavel and Jessamyn's feelings for each other in here too. I thought it was really sweet, and like that it was kept clean.
