The Major focus of my book, accordingly, is on the significance of name-calling as a strategy for justifying massive oppression. Many of the dehumanizing phrases examined in this study are so extreme, outlandish, and shocking that is is easy to dismiss them as the ravings of crazed individuals and fringe groups.
