Emily S. Miller, MD, MPH is a fourth-year resident physician of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Northwestern University School of Medicine. She graduated with her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. She received Medical Degree from NYU SChool of Medicine and her MPH from Columbia University School of Public Health.
Catherine J. Lee, MD, is a Fellow in Pain and Palliative Care at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, New York. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, NY. She complete her Internal Medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York, NY and graduated with her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine.

Description: This is a resource for medical students with rapid fire facts and questions and answers in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Purpose: The purpose is to prepare medical students for their clinical shelf exam as well as expose them to common questions asked on the wards.
Audience: The book is clearly written at the level of second- and third-year medical students, although others in training (nurses, etc.) may find it useful. Written by a resident and fellow with input from medical students, it certainly has the perspective required for this audience.
Features: The chapters are organized into sections on general gynecology, obstetrics, procedures, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology, and oncology. Information is presented as simple questions with answers immediately to the right. A bookmark is provided to allow medical students to hide the answers while reading. Those looking for in-depth information or information on evidence-based medicine need to look elsewhere. However, the questions themselves are pertinent and the format is easy to navigate. It is not hard to envision medical students poring over this while on the wards.
Assessment: This is a question-and-answer book targeted at medical students to help them pass their shelf exam and to introduce them to the ward. With its easy-to-navigate format and pertinent questions, it certainly achieves its goal.
